This month your Supervisor/Manager will be providing you with refresher training in COSHH. Please find detailed below the key points to remember from your training. 

EVERY INDIVIDUAL (YOU) MUST:

• Co-operate with our COSHH arrangements

• Obey rules about use, handling, storage and disposal of hazardous substances

• Be trained, ask if you don’t understand

• Read labels and information sheets

• Look after and use properly any personal protective equipment which you are given

• Report any hazards, defects or faulty equipment

• Know what to do in an emergency

REMEMBER TO NEVER:

• Bring substances in from home

• Borrow substances from other people

• Use substances if you are not sure what it is

• Deliberately inhale fumes or vapour or dust

• Let anyone use substances you are using unless they have permission

• Leave substances where anyone could have access to them

• Play jokes on people
